Newman House is the Chaplaincy for Catholic students and faculty at Queen’s. A centre for liturgical, intellectual and social life, Newman aims to help Catholics learn and practice their faith on campus.

Newman House, like many other Catholic university chaplaincies, is named after Cardinal John Henry Newman, 19th century philosopher, theologian, preacher and author of “The Idea of a University”.

Newman House is named for Venerable John Henry Cardinal Newman (February 21, 1801 – August 11, 1890).
